 This DF friendly, bustling and popular cafe, bar and restaurant is located in the centre of Uppingham, in the market square, and offers great food and drink from a varied menu. Offerings range from Lamb Rump and Swordfish Nicoise through to  Lentil and carrot burgers. What I'm particularly pleased to see is there is also a Vegan menu. DF++ - The Crown is a 17th Century Coaching Inn on the thriving independent high street of Uppingham serving fantastic fresh, seasonal food along with a great range of real ales and premium drinks, and local produce. The Inn dates back to 1739, when two separate dwellings were altered to make the one building as you see today, although parts of the original dwellings date back to pre 1530. DF - The cafe is set within the grounds of Launde Abbey and surrounded by stunning countryside views. If you are feeling energetic, this is an amazing walk to do from the doorstep. Alternatively there is parking and another favourite is to drive and park and explore the ancient woodlands nearby.
