RRR is nestled in a secluded 4 acre meadow where we currently have just two pods. These are separate by a number of trees and meadow grasses to add to that sense of seclusion. Ideal for couples wanting to get away from it all and avoid the regimental feel that many bigger sites may have. If you are two couples wanting complete privacy, you would have total privacy within the secluded glamping field.
We do not accept tents or caravans for this reason.
RRR is set off the beaten track from Littleworth Lane which adjoins the A47. The meadow is surrounded on all four sides by trees and hedging with a perimeter low level fence enclosing it. It is not visible from any direction. Given its seclusion however you will hear farm machinery working in the adjacent fields if you come during harvest season and sometimes they can work late into the night! This can also result in crop dust in the air at this time.
Please google our location prior to booking. Given the proximity of the A47 over the fields, if the wind is blowing in the direction of the village, you may hear some back ground road noise.
A firepit complete with BBQ rack is available for each pod. and a fire pit starter kit can be added at time of booking and includes a bag of Logs, kindling and some fire starters. Please note - only logs and kindling purchased on site to be used in the fire pit. This is purely to minimise any fire risk to surrounding meadows as seasoned wood is used specifically for this purpose.
We kindly ask guests to leave to leave the fire pit and utensils in the state you found them so that others can enjoy. Please ensure the BBQ arm and utensils are washed throughly prior to leaving. A £20 surcharge will be deducted from the security deposit if these are not left clean.
Guests can bring their own charcoal or alternatively this can be purchased from various places, including the garage, in the nearby town of Uppingham.
At the current time we have decided against hot tubs to preserve the peace and tranquility of the site. We will be looking into this in 2024 should we find a silent offering that can blend well into our environment. We want this to remain as tranquil an environment as possible for all to enjoy.
To maintain the tranquility for other guests we would request that visitors are kept to a maximum of 2 adult visitors per pod and they must vacate the site by 9 pm at the latest. Extra crockery and cutlery are provided for this purpose.
Unfortunately, due to the costs and time involve with changeovers, our minimum stay is predominantly 2 nights with discounts offered for longer stays.
We may, from time to time, offer special one night stays for those following our face book and Instagram pages - these will be advertised closer to availability. Keep an eye on our social media for details and availability regarding these as they will be available last minute only.
We warmly welcome your canine friends and have made our site as dog friendly as possible so that they can enjoy their stay as much as you. There is even access by the bridge for them to splash in the brook on those hot summer days!
We do kindly ask guests to pick up all dog poo both at your pod and any deposited along your way. Dog poo can be harmful to other animals. There is no additional charge for bringing your dogs (a maximum of two is permitted but note the bigger the dog, the less room for the humans!)
As we don't charge for bringing dogs we just ask that guests bring throws to protect any furnishings in the pods and leave the pod in a clean state upon departure. Any soiling to furniture and fittings will be taken out of your security deposit so please be mindful of where you let them sleep! Dogs to be kept on lead at all times outside of your private garden area due to other livestock (horses and sheep) and wildlife on site.
No separate tents or bookings for such are allowed on site to keep the intimate, secluded feel to the site.
Each pod has its own integrated fridge with freezer compartment.
No wifi here......the aim is to allow our guests to get away from it all so we actively encourage you to ditch the phones and talk to each other instead! Enjoy your surroundings, crack open a bottle, go for a walk but try to resist the urge to boot those phones up. If you really can't resist the urge then there is good 4g coverage here and usb charging sockets.
No. Our pods are fully equipped with all the essentials to enable you to cook during your stay. If there is something we have forgotten or could improve by providing, please drop us a line with helpful feedback.
