The nearest town is the beautiful market town of Uppingham which is 4 miles away. Here you can find a number of small grocery shops including a co-op for all your essentials. Uppingham also has an Iron Mongers, Boots, a market on Fridays, two butchers and a fabulous bakery - Baines - from whom we source some of your welcome gifts ;-)  Last but not least are an array of pubs, restaurants and takeaways. 

Rutland is blessed with an array of wonderful farm shops. Ashley (LE16 8HG) and Launde (LE7 9XB) are our go to's but these are but two of a few. A special mention to Launde for their cook at home Curry's. These are amazing!

There are a number of local taxi firms that serve the area but you are advised to book early to avoid disappointment. They get very busy given the rural location!

We kindly ask that only the kiln dried fire wood provided or purchased from RRR is used but you are welcome to bring your own charcoal for the fire pit if you prefer.  Charcoal can be purchased from the nearby town of Uppingham

This is to minimise any fire risk to surrounding meadow land from sparks from untreated wood.

The nearest petrol station can be found just 4 miles away in Uppingham. Two others are located a short distance away at Morcott - 7 miles away. 

Two EV charging points can be found in the Uppingham car park between the Falcon Hotel and the Coop. If travelling along the A47 from RRR, turn right at the roundabout and then left at the lights by the petrol Station. The car park is a short way along this road on the right, opposite the fish and chip shop.

The nearest doctors surgery and vets can also be found in Uppingham. The Doctors surgery is just off the island at Northgate and the Vets is located next to the fire station on Ayston Road.
